2014 Toronto Canadian Limo Summit

Canadian Limo Summit Successfully Mixes Big Ambitions with Small Setting (Published 08/2014)

Toronto — The Canadian Limo Summit, the first-ever partnership between the Ontario Limousine Owners Association (OLOA) and Chauffeur Driven, proved that it found the winning combination of interactive educational sessions, a showroom filled with exhibitors, and a whole lot of networking opportunities.

The Aug. 10-11 event brought 150 attendees from all walks of the chauffeured ground transportation industry together at the InterContinental Toronto Centre, making for an intimate affair that facilitated new relationships and brought together familiar faces.

CD0814 Canadian Limo Summit “I liked the smaller gathering because, as an affiliate manager, I’m there to network and get to know people,” says Perry Barin, the West Coast affiliate manager for Music Express. “I was able to meet everybody one on one with 150 people, as opposed to a large-scale event where it’s hard to talk to everybody.”

The event was bookended by two friendly gatherings—an opening night reception sponsored by MV-1 Canada and a Grech Motors-sponsored scenic cruise on Lake Ontario aboard the Capt. Matthew Flinders—and packed three workshops brimming over with information between the two festive functions.

Following a breakfast sponsored by Battisti Customs and Macnab Transit Sales was the first of the day’s sessions, “Customer Retention: Keeping Clients Engaged and Loyal by Exceeding Expectations,” co-presented by Kyara Kahakauwila of LA Limousines and Mike Zappone of All Transportation Network. Kristen Carroll of Grace Limousine and The LMC Group then took to the podium to discuss “Employee Motivation & Retention: Creating a Happy and Healthy Environment that Increases Productivity.” Jason Sharenow of Broadway Elite Chauffeured Services Worldwide served as moderator for all three of the day’s workshops ...

A Winner Out of the Gate: First-Ever Chauffeur Driven Show Draws Industry Praise (Published 12/2013)

cd-1213-show-review-ribbon-chris-eric-fordWhen the Chauffeur Driven Show blew into Atlantic City this past November, even CD staff were astounded by the positive vibe and kinetic energy happening at the Trump Taj Mahal. As the youngest contender amongst the East Coast shows, it was Chauffeur Driven’s goal to pull out all the stops to bring attendees the finest quality education, networking, entertainment, vehicles, and services. By all accounts, this was the fresh air that the industry craved. Many thanks to our Title Sponsor, The Lincoln Motor Company (see a full list of our sponsors at www.chauffeurdrivenshow.com).

As our first show, this was the opportunity to mix it up, test the waters, and really challenge ourselves to think differently about the needs of the industry—now and moving forward. We knew there were some essentials that we had to have: all under one roof for less time spent traveling between venues and more time learning and networking. We knew it had to have all the best speakers and the most relevant topics. It had to include some downtime, but also lots of opportunities to let loose and have some fun. Four days, nearly 100 exhibitors, 50+ sponsors, and over 1,500 attendees later, the show was a smashing success and the clear choice of the chauffeured ground transportation industry. Thank you to our incredible attendees!

“Congratulations on a great show. I think you surprised a lot of the naysayers who thought you couldn’t pull off a successful show that size on your own. Not only did you do it, you excelled at it. I wish you nothing but continued success in the years to come and bigger and more awesome shows,” says David Brown of Premiere Transportation Group in Albany ...

Get Your Game Faces On: It's Showtime! (Published 09/2013)

cd-1213-show-review-ribbon-chris-eric-fordThe countdown has transitioned from months to weeks as we quickly approach the first Chauffeur Driven Show this November 3-6 at the Trump Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, N.J. The show is spearheaded by Chauffeur Driven President and Publisher Chris Weiss, Show Manager Megan Hogue, and the Chauffeur Driven team, who collectively have over 100 years of industry experience under their belt. Weiss and Hogue also drew on the expertise and feedback of dozens of industry professionals, who volunteered their time to serve on the various Chauffeur Driven Show committees and advisory board. The result is a show that is packed with timely educational opportunities including hands-on workshops and traditional seminars; nearly 100 of the industry’s leading suppliers, manufacturers, and dealers; and an exciting lineup of nightlife entertainment. A special thanks to Title Sponsor, The Lincoln Motor Company.

It’s the only show that takes place all under one roof so there’s less time commuting and walking between venues, and more time spent networking, interacting with show exhibitors and speakers, and learning from the industry’s best and most progressive thinkers in a collaborate environment. It’s the only show that features former Apple evangelist and tech guru Guy Kawasaki to deliver the Keynote Address, not to mention the first-ever Operating Mentoring Program as well as themed parties for the optimum blend of networking and fun. We’ve even built in some downtime between the afternoon and evening events, and provide a buffet lunch on Monday and Tuesday (sponsored by Titus Leasing & Acton Fleet Sales/SoCal Penske and EmpireCLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services & Grech Motors, respectively). Music Express and EmpireCLS will also be holding their affiliate meetings at the show, in addition to two associations, Limousine Association of New Jersey and Minority Limousine Operators of America ...
